I am working on research on a lexical typology of words meaning 'thing / matter / affair'. I have some problems with the interpretation of Slovene material. So, my question is as follows: What is the difference between the words stvar and reč? SSKJ lists the same set of meanings for both lexemes. Neither dictionaries nor corpus data give a clear answer so far. Maybe one of them is more preferable in one of the meanings?
